Can Claude answer questions from Punchmark?

A simple guide for jewelers on a Punchmark website about whether Claude can work with it, and what would have to be true first.

Possible with vendor keyApplies to Punchmark · Claude

Short answer

Possibly, with Punchmark’s help. Punchmark documents export APIs that return your website’s customers, online orders, and product listings, and SiteManager lets you download your customer list as a CSV. Each API call needs an authorization key that Punchmark issues, and its docs do not say how a store gets one. We found no official Punchmark connector for Claude or other AI assistants. So the realistic path is a key from Punchmark, then a read-only gateway that lets Claude answer about your web sales and catalog. Keep in mind Punchmark holds your website data, not your whole store. In-store sales live in your POS.

A jeweler whose website runs on Punchmark and who wants to ask Claude about online orders, web customers, or the catalog.

  • An API authorization key from Punchmark for your site. How to request one is not documented.
  • Confirmation from Punchmark that a second reader will not disturb existing syncs, such as a POS integration.
  • A Claude account for each person who would ask questions.
  • Someone to build the connection and run the gateway. That would be us.
  1. The path. Punchmark’s documented export APIs: customers, transactions (web orders), and products. Each uses your site’s address and a key Punchmark provides.
  2. The gateway. Claude would reach that data through a secure gateway built on MCP, with read-only lookups.
  3. The people. Owner, manager, and associate would each carry their own permissions.
  4. The limit that stays. Read-only. Punchmark’s import APIs exist, but nothing would write to your site unless you decided to change that.

It can

  • Once a key is in place, answer about online orders, web customers, and the products listed on your site.
  • Work from a CSV of your customer list, exported from SiteManager, for one-off questions.

It cannot (today)

  • Connect without a key from Punchmark.
  • See vendor-supplied Premium Vendor items. Punchmark says the product export holds only your site's own items.
  • See in-store sales. Those are in your POS, not Punchmark.

The APIs are documented, but the key is not self-serve, and the customer export keeps track of the last time it was called. A second reader could interfere with an existing sync. We would want Punchmark to confirm the right setup first. This is inferred from the endpoint behavior and naming, and not confirmed by Punchmark.

A key from Punchmark and its confirmation of safe use. If Punchmark offers an AI connection we have not found, tell us and we will look at it.
